Love it but fix notifications bug!

The app is great overall. But there is a bug in iOS thats extremely bothersome, after getting a notification (even push notifications) when I open the app and go to the notifications section the page wont refresh yet the notification number bubble goes away. I sometimes have to go to my notifications panel on the OS to see what the actual notification was. Its become a bit cumbersome and annoying. Ive even uninstalled and reinstalled the app so see if I just had a bad build - no luck.
